Editor's Intro to Issue #18

I am really pleased with the way LitVision Issue 18 turned out. This time I  chose
one sample from each of our traditional categories (fiction, nonfiction, poetry,
artwork) and mixed in some features. Editor Pat’s
Funhouse is a new feature, the
hilarious
Mailboxxx and photoshoot we’ve done before, in the early days of
LitVision. As 2009 comes in we’ll be introducing more “variety” features. I’m
especially interested in adding some political commentary, because unfortunately
none of us can afford to be simple literary creatures anymore.

The neon green machine is definitely rolling again. I won’t dare to forecast a
publishing schedule because I go where the moose takes me. Or was that muse?
What? Anyway it’s more interesting to leave things open. It’s just me, Editor Pat, on
the farm right now. We (LitVision and I) are in touch with Editor Zeke, but he’s a
busy boy and is doing great things at
Titty Biscuits. Editor Kelly has completely
disappeared and is probably training for something nefarious in Somalia.

I’ve left the land of California and have moved LitVision Press World Headquarters
to a place that is currently being buffeted by wind, snow, and economic decay. In
other words, a brilliant decision on my part. But since I have returned to this place
we’ll call The Land, I’ve had the chance to engage in solitary ruminations for a
while, and I’ve harnessed a good deal of focused creative power. That flow is still the
apex of being for someone like me.

The holidays this year…why not? I hope you are enjoying them. Last year’s holidays
were extremely tough because I had recently separated from a long relationship.
This year I am broke as a joke and alone again. I keep telling myself that this will
make the return of “good” holidays that much sweeter.

Which reminds me! The LitVision Artistic Advancement Board (or, LVAAB) has
struck an agreement with artist Yul Tolbert to regularly run his comic strips on this
site. We will have to feed this information into the LitVision Electronic Experience
Brain (or, LVEEB) to figure out what this all means. But I’m already extremely
optimistic and excited about it. Check out the first installment,
Whino the Whiny
Cat.

That's it, LitVisioneers! Hope you enjoy Issue #18.
