About Our Press:

LitVision Press was founded in January 2005. Our goal
is to publish high-quality books and chapbooks by
talented "underground" writers.

LitVision Press titles are distributed in non-exclusive
cooperation with
Out Your Backdoor Distro and
Amazon.com

LitVision Press is a member of the
Underground Literary
Alliance. We have a network of small press associates
throughout the United States, in Canada, and England.

Our principles: We are a DIY outfit run by honest
working-class people. Like most small presses just
starting out, we are not in this biz to make money, but
we are completely dedicated to every project we take
on, and have ambitious plans for the future.

LitVision Press will take new risks and continue to learn
and grow, shunning "accepted publishing practices"
when they run counter to our outsider sense of what
literature is and what it can be.

About Our Publisher:

Patrick Simonelli, 25, is founding editor of the monthly
LitVision e-zine. Pat has lived in southern Connecticut,
Milwaukee, and northern California. He holds a
bachelor's degree in communications, and has worked
as a newspaper reporter, meeting planner, and lobbyist
administrator.

LitVision Press is his baby.

About Jack Saunders

Interview with LitVision Press
  founder Pat Simonelli

Q: What is LitVision Press?

A: An up & coming independent publisher of printed literary material.
Books, zines, pamphlets, etc. I'll publish work that i believe in, and do
my extreme best to promote it.

Q: Why?

A: Publishing is my dream, and literature is my life! If we're not happy with the
way things are, we've got to change things, right? I walk into a biggie
bookstore like Borders, most of what i find there is either atrocious or more
than 50 years old. It's unfair to the reader AND the writer. People aren't as
simplistic as most mainstream publishing houses like to imagine we are.
Underground writers, readers, and publishers have been keeping literature
alive for years. Now i'm here, ready and able to help.

Q: So you have a plan?

A: Yeah i've got a plan, plus the resources and skills to make it happen. I just
need a few great writers to step up and give me something to publish.

Q: Who are you looking for?

A: Writers with unique, crazy talent. A newcomer or someone who's been
struggling for years. Someone realistic and tough, who i can trust and who will
trust me. No one will get rich or famous from being published by LitVision
Press in 2005. The action we're looking for is the "doing it." In many ways,
starting something is the most important part, and you can bet i'm going to
make it work. How can i fail?

Q: How can you fail?

A: I don't see what i've got to lose? My life savings? My pride? My dream? Hell
no, these are all regenerable things. If i never give up on this, i never fail.
And i'm not about to give up.

Q: So LitVision Press is going to publish the LitVision e-zine, in print?

A: No! I like the monthly e-zine as an online-only project. It wouldn't translate
well into print, and it would consume way too much of my time. The e-zine will
stay as-is, the press will publish single projects, or other projects in serial
form.

Q: Now what?

A: If someone reads this and feels what i'm trying to do, drop me an email and
we'll talk about the next step. I'm only half of the equation. I need writers to
step up and be the other half. Leave your agent at home! It's just me and you
talking about publishing some lit.

Q: Are you ready for this?

A: I'm ready! A publisher at age of 25, that sounds about right to me...
